I thought I would share my personal testimony on my blog. I love sharing my testimony and now you get to hear and read it.

Well to start off, my name is Hillary Carol Haynes, and I live in Kinston, NC where I have lived all my life. I am a born a raised Eastern NC girl where I love to be. I am the daughter of Carl and Beverly Haynes, a doctor and nurse, and the sister to Will, Josh, and Tori. I am a born again believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and I am a proud member of Sandy Bottom Baptist Church of Kinston, NC! You can often find me at home, hanging out friends, or at church!

I love Jesus with my whole heart, soul, and mind! I accepted Christ as my savior when I was 7 years old, in a hotel room. I have always remembered my Dad having family devotions with the family as I was growing up, and asked everyone if they wanted to pray. Well, I can still see it in my mind, him asking me if I wanted to pray, I did, and asked Jesus into my heart. The road hasn’t always been perfect, but the Lord walks with me and talks with me everyday! I can’t begin to express to you in words the thanks and comfort I find in him and his word. He has always been there to wrap his arms around me whenever I have needed him. Jesus is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I try to treat others as I would want to be treated, and have a smile on my face whenever I can because life is too short not to smile. When I smile, I always feel like it will brighten up someone else’s day too. Jesus is the real deal, and my hope for this lost world is that my life can be an example to others as Jesus would have me to be.

I have been blessed with one of the best families on this earth! They have always been there for me, and man can I tell you, I have/had some of the most amazing grandparents in the world also. My grandparents are a big part of why I am the way I am today. The blood of Jesus saved them too, and their walk and example I saw made me want to be more, and so Jesus is doing that today. I miss the ones that have already gone on to be with Jesus, but am thankful my Granny is still here. My aunts, uncles, and cousins are all amazing too. Their inspiration through my life shines through and helps me grow in my walk with the Lord. I love my family, and wouldn’t trade them for the world. My friends, wow, where to start? This point in my life I was some amazing friends! I love that I can go to church and know I am loved and have many friends there. God has blessed my life with special friends over the years, and I am thankful for that! A true friend is hard to find, but I have some true friends who stick by me no matter what, and I love that!

When I was a young child I had an ear infection in my right eardrum, resulting in a hole in the eardrum. My doctor here sent us to a doctor in Raleigh, NC. He suggested surgery to repair the eardrum, and after 3 surgeries and about 3-5 years later, the eardrum is fixed. But, my hearing never really improved in that ear. My left ear isn’t where it should be either. My Mom thought it’d be a good idea to get hearing aids, and my doctor agreed with her. Now I am the proud owner of two hearing aids that match my hair color and skin color too! See, hearing aids aren’t for old people! I love having hearing aids because it got to where if I wasn’t facing you, I often couldn’t understand what you were saying. But, even hearing aid’s aren’t perfect and I often ask people to repeat themselves, and explain the hearing aids. I also have headaches non-stop too. I got a headache about 8-10 years ago, and it never left me. So basically it depends on how it is everyday. I also get migraines about every 2 weeks-a month. But, I don’t let my head stop me from living my everyday life the way I and my God wants me to. I just push harder because I know God wants me to. The way I look at is that there are people in this world that has it worse, ways worse, than I do in life, and I’d rather wake up everyday thanking God for a new day, and go from there. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff I have always maintained that if you just go with the flow, life is so much better that way.

Last but certainly not least, my work, my love, my God given talents. I am a photographer and love what I do. I have always loved being in front of the camera, still do for that matter, and totally love being behind it even more. Capturing life through the lens is simply amazing to me. To show what God has created for us to enjoy and to have as a keepsake here on earth, awesome! I have a degree in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology that I received from Lenoir Community College, LCC. I also love kids, and can’t wait to get married and start a family of my own someday!

Some thing’s you may like to know about me. I am: a strong dedicated Christian, I hate Halloween and what it stands for, I can’t wait to get married someday when God provides, have kids Lord willing. I love to smile, I love: photography, to hang out with friends, heights scares me but most of the time I can warm up to them ok. I am a silly, energetic, and often hyper person when around friends, I love to laugh, and have a great time, I am not like most girls I know, I am strong on being as modest as I feel the Lord wants me to be, I don’t wear make-up, I don’t look my age, and so much more!

Life is a journey

God is such a great God, that is all I can say. His nature as I saw first hand this weekend is breathtaking, especially when you are viewing all of it with someone who shares the appreciation the same as you do. God has truly blessed me over the past 2 years as I have had to climb over obstacles that He has put into my life. But, I will say that He has taught me so much through it all. I wouldn't be who I am today without him in my life. He is all powerful and all knowing. Only God himself knows when Jesus is coming back, amazing!

I love hiking, and this weekend I went hiking and shot some neat pictures at the Cliffs of the Neuse in Seven Springs, NC. It was so much fun and the company was even better. Nature amazes me, it's just so beautiful! Since I have a love for photography, and hiking, biking, etc., it's fun to do things where I can mix all the things that I love to do, especially outdoors too. I thank the Lord for who I am, and what he is doing in my life all around me. I thank him for my wonderful family, friends, and church family whom I can lean on during hard, trying, and great times as well!

Hey World

Hey, well, it's been an exciting new year for me and my family, and also one where God is going to do great things for us, through us, and to us. We found out recently that we are going on a different journey than any of us thought that we'd be on this point in our lives. But, we are going to leave it all up to God, trust hard in him, pray, and lean on his holy word to get us through it all! As for me, things are going great! I am staying strong in prayer and daily passionate reading of God's word, the Bible, and look forward to it everyday! I am in my final semester of GAIT at LCC, and am melancholy about that. I am really excited to be getting a job soon after, but at the same time am not ready to graduate.

Tori and I joined Sandy Bottom Baptist Church this past Sunday after much prayer, and guidance from God leading us from our last church, Neuse Baptist Church, there. We are very happy at SBBC and look forward to what our future holds there. Tori turned 16 this past Sunday and is very excited about that, and having her own cell phone now too! She will get her license in April and is looking forward to that.

My oldest brother and his wife are coming down the first week of March, and we are all excitingly awaiting their arrival. They are doing great in Wheaton and are very happy, and continue to work hard and take it day by day in their marriage and life!

This summer already shows big plans for me and my family. Tori is heading to Caswell with her youth group in July, I am going to NY with some friends from church in June, Will and Meghan are coming back this way this summer as they drive down this way to visit friends in Lynchburg, VA. My 22nd birthday is in August, and I hope to have a great summer seeing family and such before settling down with a job come fall.

Bible verse of the week!

Well, I haven't been up here in awhile, and not this year either, so Happy New Year to you all!!! I am reading this awesome book series written by author Robin Jones Gunn that my sister is letting me read. It is the Christy Miller series, the Sierra Jensen series, Christy and Todd, the college Years, and the Katie Weldon series. Awesome books for girls like me, my sister, and her closest friends in Christ. Anyways, my verse of the week comes from those books and I love it now too.

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. Exodus 19:5. KJV.

Courtship
'what it means to me and why I feel it is important!'

In the last few weeks I have been really into watching my new favorite TV show called 18 Kids and Counting. It is a show about a Christian family who have 18 kids, and the mom is pregnant with their 19th child. Their oldest Josh got married last year to the love of his life, Anna, and they recently had their first child. These are a few main thoughts I have about courtship, and there are much more, maybe I will write another post about more thoughts from different sources. Check out Joshua Harris' book's, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," and "Boy Meets Girl," too.

I have watched the episodes around the time when Josh proposes to Anna, and seeing how their courtship went, and thought wow, that's exactly how I want mine to be when I meet my future husband someday. I have also been watching their wedding episode often, that one is special to me also. I have a special journal that singer and songwriter Rebeca St. James put out, and I absolutely love it! It helps me to prepare thoughts of purity for my husband and for him to one day see what I went through in this time of my life while waiting for him.

Seeing the kind of courtship that Josh and Anna Duggar had is awesome for me to see in today's society because so many people look at that as being to vain. All they did was hug when he proposed, very appropriate, then they held hands while they were engaged and courting, that's it, awesome again. When you limit it to just holding hands in the courtship, then there is less of a chance you will keep yourself, your whole self pure before the wedding night. So in seeing them and viewing the way they went through courtship, I really want to hold true to those same principles when I meet my future husband. Also hold them when we become friends, get engaged and court, then get married. I want us to stay pure to each other, for each other, and God, until our wedding night.

Since I am in the stage of my life where I am looking at guys and wondering when I may meet my future spouse, I can't help but to wonder where and when that might be. I constantly pray for him daily, and ask God to guide him in every decision that he makes, and that he may be praying for his future bride as well. I love him already, not because of "who" he is, but "who's" he is. He is a child and follower of Jesus Christ, like myself, and that's why I am going to love him so much when I meet and marry him someday.

Courtship to me is something that I feel God created to keep purity in a relationship between a man and a women as they enter into a important stage of life. The world sees it as "dating," then "engagement", courting is the same thing, just purer, that leads to marriage. For Christians, courtship is a way of keeping themselves pure before each other and God before they get to their wedding night. I think that having a good courtship shows that the couple will have a strong and lasting marriage in the Lord's care and guidance.

Thanks for reading about my views and thoughts on courtship. I thank God after already having "dated" myself in life, that he has brought me to a place of total surrender and am looking forward to my courtship with my future husband someday!

Lol, I LOVE hearing Orlando from our church say that line, and so I said it too this past Friday night as we were coming back from Judgement House in Goldsboro, NC. Btw, if anyone in this area wants to go, GO! It is SO awesome and I highly encourage you to go. It was so good this year as per usual in my personal opinion. A lot has been happening in the last few months. I haven't been on this blog as much since I have been getting my photography site up and running. By the way, if you are a friend of mine, please let your friends know that I am looking for jobs, so if they want pictures done at a cheap price, to please give me a call, or shoot me an e-mail. Info to come at end of this post. Things are going good though, reading my Bible a lot and getting closer to God these days. Things are going good with my family, dad is still busy with work and the Gideon's. Mom and Tori and still homeschooling and keeping busy. I currently am finishing my GAIT degree at LCC and loving the photography classes I am doing. Josh is still working and keeping busy. Will and Meghan are doing well, and I can't wait to see them at Christmas. Anyways, that's all for now folks, hope you all are doing well.

Hey to all,
hope everyone is doing well. I am sorry that I haven't been around in a while, been busy, busy, busy with school, and other stuff. It's been a really busy month but all is well, have finally gotten my external hardrive, and I also just got a ipod touch too! Last week I had the pleasure of helping my mom, aunt, and sister babysit 3 of my cute second cousins in the Greensboro area. It was a lot of fun, but then my sister and I had to drive back to Kinston for an awesome session of VBS at our church this past weekend. The theme this year was "The Boomerang Express." ON the Boomerang Express you have to remember that it all comes back to Jesus Christ and having a relationship with him. We have 2 lives that were saved which was awesome. They are members of a great family that I have gotten to know that has recently joined the church, so it was touching for me to see 2 more members of their family saved into the kingdom.

So, now I am back home for one week before classes start back and let me tell ya, it's going to go back WAY to fast! Well, that's all for now blokes, and I will have some pics up soon to show of last week, VBS, and my summer too!

Bible Verse for the week!

I have been feeling that like last weeks verse, this weeks verse holds the same, or similar purpose to my life right now and my life as the last one did. I have always loved it, and like Phil. 4:13, this one is one of my all time favorites.

Romans 8:28 " And we know, that all things work together for good, to those that love God, to those that are called according to his purpose."

WOW! What a great promise brought to us by our God and king!

Bible Verse for the week!

Well, I haven't done this in awhile with all that has been going on, and my not being on blogger, so wanted to get back to my Bible verse for the week, and this one, seems like it is an oldie, but is one of THE best!

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me Strength." Philippians 4:13.

This verse has meant more to me now than ever with all I am going through, and it is a blessing to see this verse coming true right before my eyes as it has many times before. It is an amazing verse with such a great promise to it to all who truly apply it to themselves in Christ.

A Lasting "Hope."

My sister and I went to the last night of her VBS at her best friends church a few weeks back, and one of the things the teachers did was give us a rock. On that tiny rock we were to write one word that whenever we carried the rock in our pockets would remind us that Jesus is always there for us. I wrote the word "hope" on mine, and ever since then I have felt that so strongly in my life. I have gone through what I would call a hard time, and so many people have been there for me, but it was my cousin who put it to me the best out of my struggles and her words comforted me tremendously.

She reminded me that when going through a hard time such as the one I am experiencing that is is these times when we hold onto God and draw closer to him in our relationship with him as well. That and our whole conversation was great help to me in what I was searching for. I had a great weekend at my aunts house seeing my aunt, uncle, and cousins, and it was exactly what I need in my time of hardship.

I also am really reflecting on God's Holy word, the Bible, and what it says. I am finding comfort, encouragement, and great strength from it. All in all, I am thankful. I am thankful I have a wonderful family who is always there for me when I need them, especially during the hard times, and I have a relationship with a risen Savior who is ALWAYS there for me no matter what. What a MIGHTY God we serve, and how blessed we are to be HIS!!!!!

Where does the time go?

This is the puppy that my brother Josh brought home what seems like just yesterday some days, and this is him just the other day.

I still can't believe at how big our little Ranger is getting to be, and what joy and happiness he brings to our lives. He is an awesome dog and doing well with his training too!

This girl has a good excuse for being away, that and she has been lazy and procrastinated updating her blog for too long, cause my friends need to know what's happening in my life right now!

As of June 23rd which is coming like a freight train, my boyfriend, Ryan and I will have been going out for 6 months, wow! That is awesome to us and we are continuing to bring happiness everyday to our relationship and to each other. We have been able to see each other at LCC where we both attend school, and on the weekends as well. I still can't believe that 6 months is almost come already but think it's great and love it.

LCC continues to bring new adventures for me everyday, and the latest is, I"M DONE! With my GAIT classes anyways, and have finals and it will be official. As of 2:00 today, Wednesday, May 6th, I completed all my classes and didn't push it with anything. I have graduation next Thursday, May 17th, where I will be walking with my class, then full degree in December. It has been a trying semester as I deal with my headaches and the annoyance of the degree of the pain it brings everyday, but they had been good overall, and everyone close to me has been so supportive of me this semester and my time in the GAIT department at LCC as well.

Summer is in the air as I start right back at it close to a week after I end finals I start the summer semester at LCC taking a math class, and blk and white photography with a film SLR camera which my awesome cousins have so graciously allowed me to borrow as I take this class. Sadly though I will not be able to travel back to Wheaton, IL to visit my brother and sister-in-law this summer with my family due to class restraints. I will however be really looking forward to seeing them at Christmas time with they fly down to see us.

Will and Meghan are enjoying life last time I checked in Wheaton as he is going for his doctoral degree in physiology and Meghan teaches. They both have busy schedules and enjoy married life. Josh is working still for DEPS and has his puppy Ranger who is getting bigger all the time and hyper by the day. Ranger continues to bring joy into our lives and is a sweet puppy dog. And the most recent excitement in our family, Tori, the baby of the family finally got her permit! She is very excited and loves driving and had some interstate experience over LCC's Spring Break.

So, to conclude, I want to apologize for having lacked my blog in awhile and hope this update finds everyone doing well, healthy, and happy. Love to all, and God bless each and everyone! More to come about Graduation at LCC.

Meet Ranger!

Meet Ranger,

the newest addition to the Haynes crew! My brother Josh brought him home Saturday afternoon and he is the sweetest little thing. As many of you know and saw on here, our beloved Spot of 11 years died that Monday before, so Ranger has brought much laughter, and happiness to our lives. Ranger is a Yellow Lab, and is destined to be a hunting dog someday.

As I sit here and type this, my awesome dog of close to 11 years Spot, is lying out on our porch dying. It is sad for us all, but we also are very happy to see him getting out of pain. Spot was found to have lymphoma cancer. He has taken it all very well and up until the last few days, has done well for the most part getting around on his own. Today, mom had to get up the steps, and a little while ago he got up, to the door, and back down and could make it back to his house. He is now in the comfort of blankets, and thank God it isn't really cold out there tonight.

As I reflect on all the great times Spot has given us I also think to my cousins dog Buffet that was put down a few weeks ago. So there is a lot of sadness as our animals in our families are getting old and dying. Then I also think about the young, our cat Chloe, my aunts dog Jackson, etc. They are all in there prime and we have many years to enjoy them. Well friends, that's enough for now, but tomorrow looks to be an awesome day, my boyfriend Ryan is coming to church with me, then hanging out with me the rest of the day as we do fun stuff here at the Haynes homestead and then go to a friends house for a Superbowl party.

Well friends, I have been a slacker lately when it comes to my blog and I apologize for that. But just a brief of whats been going on since you last heard from me, things are going good so far in the semester with school. I am enjoying the work and having a good semester with all my classes so far. I am also dating an amazing guy now who also goes to school at LCC so I get to see him a lot during the week which is awesome. Church life is good but hectic. Seems like everywhere I turn around got something going on, but love it still as usual. I have a Math class on Wednesday nights so can't attend then but it's all good.

Things with my head have been bad lately or have gotten bad but I figured out I was on my computer too often and that wasn't working so I am trying to wing off of being on it do much. It's working though. Wel friends, more to come later, take care, and as always God bless.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas is to me the proper way to wish everyone the seasons greetings. For it shows the real reason for Christmas, which is Christ the Lord, who came to earth as a baby boy many years ago, to the little town of Bethlehem, where he was born in a manger cause there was no room for them in the inn. What an amazing story it is, but we mustn't forget that Jesus wasn't just a baby in a manger, he grew up, and died on the cross to pay the sins of every single person born on earth. That means that he paid for your sins and mine too. This CHRISTmas season, remember that he did all that so that you might have eternal life through him, and live with him forever in Heaven, instead of a place known as Hell. Merry CHRISTmas to one and all.

Christmas time is here!

Well friends, it's over, finals, school, projects, and tests are all over with until January! I am so thankful for all that God has done for me over this year and as it comes to a close, it has been a awesome year with friends, family and laughter to go around.

Over the past week I have fought through stress, tests, and finals to get through final exams at LCC and be done, and I can honestly say, it was all worth it. I am so happy to finally be done and have a much deserved break, see family, and enjoy time with friends with plenty laughter to go around. Just some updates for you all who want to know what's going on in my life and those close to me.

The newly weds Will and Meghan Haynes are living in Wheaton, IL and are doing great. They are getting plenty of snow as we can tell and have heard, and are happy. Meghan is teaching at Wheaton Christian Grammar School where God is blessing her there, and Will is on his way with classes to getting his doctoral degree. They are flying in from NJ the day after Christmas and we are meeting them in Raleigh on our way to Asheville to visit family for a few days. We are also making time to visit with our Greensboro crew as well during that trip.

Things are going great with the family here at the Haynes homestead as dad continues to work hard and mom and Tori work on school work still at home on a daily basis. Josh works for DEPS where he installs alarm systems and the like, and is enjoying it. All in all everyone is doing great!

Tori and I are still members of Neuse Baptist Church or NBC as we like to call it and are very active and busy there. This past Sunday we performed our Christmas Cantata 4 times that day, 3 at the church and one at a local nursing home. All through the month of December we have fun things going on to celebrate the season. We are still active in the choir, Tori is very active in the youth group at NBC, and I am active at the time in the kids activities like: nursery, Mission Friends, Team Kid, etc. We have a lot going on and are also in the process of raising money to move church locations. All in all things are going great at NBC for all who go there.

A lot has been going on and much to share, here is just a glimpse of what's been going on with my family and friends over the last few months. More to come later on in the life of HillaryC.

Tori and I went to see 2 of our favorite Bands on:

Friday December 12th for the 1st time in Greensboro, NC.

My Aunt and Uncle came down to have Thanksgivin with us.

Josh has been killing many deer this season,

we have more. than we know what to do with.

I am finding as I am getting into a good rhythm of homework, school, and reading God's work daily that my life is going along great! I keep thinking that even when I get frustrated, it's all good and life is great. think it's amazing how I do my verse of the week and what those verses really mean, homework gets done, reports are getting done no matter how frustrating they can be and really, it's life.

All the little things are all life, including school, tests, mid-terms, and finals, not to mention, reports. I just wanted to share what God has been showing me these days, and please continue to pray for me as I march strongly towards the day of battle in finals, and my busy, busy, busy weekend that week between final days. Bible Verse for the week!

Tonight just now as I was reading my scriptures for the day, I came accross this verse and it shouted out to me because it is in one of the songs we are singing in our church's Christmas Cantata that is in less than a month.

It is Matthew chapter 4 verse 16 and says this:
"the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of shadow of death a light had dawned."

What an amazement it is that that song is one of my favorites from the Cantata and yet I read it in scripture tonight as I meditated on the song earlier at choir practice. What a mighty God we serve.

Well friends, as I get into the busy end of the semester stage of getting things done before it ends in a month from this Thursday or Monday. I just wanted to let you all know that even though you probably won't hear from me if any at all, please be in prayer for me as I get into the stages of finals once again at LCC. I love you all and hope to write to you more as Thanksgiving nears. Take care and I will be talking withyou later on.

Well, I hought today how scary it was that this coming Thursday which is the 11th of November I have my 3rd and last midterm to turn in and then a month from then on the 12th of December our first finals start, scary right?!?! lol. Well anyways, things are still going well with school, I am still working hard and glad that the semester is almost over. I do feel like we are tight in some of my classes since it is so close to finals but with Gods help we will get it done. I have been so busy that I sadly don't have a verse for the week but just am meditating on his word and in prayer for our country as we now have a new president to come into office. I urge all of you to be in Prayer for Obama and his family daily and that God will be the center of his life. More to come later.

Hey friends, well I am having a ton of fun learing the new stuff in my blog that I didn't try to learn before but after learning stuff in my Multimedia Design class where we design a website, I have learned a lot. Plus I have seen what friends of mine and family have done with theirs. A ton of it has come from playing around with things, which I had a blast doing tonight. Today I am going with my mom, sister, and some close friends to see High School Musical 3 in Greenville which I am so excited about. Then tonight I am going to see some awesome Jazz music with a good friend of mine, Ryan. I am looking forward to my day off from school even though it has already started hehe. This verse is not new to anyone unless they are not a Christian, but my church helped me see it all in a new life. John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." What an amazing promise that is and one thing I was reminded of this weekend at church was, we can put our own names in that verse, for God so loved Hillary that he sent HIS only son to die for me! What an amazing promise that is that we ALL can believe and atest to in this life. AMEN!

crazy time of the semester!

well, again I have not dropped off the radar just been extremely busy with school and getting my life back on track. =) I know I am getting ready to write a lot so bear with me. I am back to being me and my headaches seem to be improving some as well because I just successfully went through my first week without having my 2 day migraines that have been coming once a week for the past 2-5 months!!! So thank God, no migraine this week and hopefully the next weeks to come for a long time. With my rewarding week came a new friend from my English class, one whom I think I was looking for out at LCC. A funny person to be able to laugh with and just overall brighten my day, just what I was praying for in fact. So the week had 2 days devoted to fall break where students were able to study for midterms if they pleased or just take a break from it all.

Even though I did do some hw in the even of my super long weekend as I though of it, I took the time to chill and enjoy the time I had off. I also am getting into what I have wanted to for a long time, a reading schedule and am loving it. So far I have read 2 books in a matter of one week one of which I have read before. Now I am moving on to higher books such as John Grisham or Tom Clancey whom I have never read. I read most of a John Grisham novel a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so I thought I'd get back into them. As for the others I'd figure we had them here at home so I'd read them first then move to Grisham after.

School is still going well and I am having a reality check this weekend and reminding myself that every things going to be fine and that I will get done in due time and to just enjoy it while I can. Plus not to say I don't think I am enjoying it anymore etc but to feel joy in learning. So, I have 2 midterms on Monday which I have only 2 classes anyways so piece of cake, then only 1 more after that and it is a take home which will be nice.

Church life is still blooming at the seams. I am now the head of the nursery part of Mission Friends on Wednesday nights, I am doing Team Kid on Sunday nights every so many months for a month, and am active in nursery on Sunday mornings. We have also started doing Chimes which Tori and I along with several others have been involved with and our first performance in church is this Sunday! Or tomorrow which ever. All in all it is great, choir and everything else is still going great.

I will write more later in the upcoming week if I can this is just updates on everything. I am busy having fun staying with my hw which can be a challenge at times with my headaches but like I said, I am confident that they are getting better. I also thought it'd be nice if I shared a daily or weekly bible verse with you all that God has impressed me to share. It seems to be easier to make it weekly but we'll see.

School, stress, and life OH MY!!!

hey friends, well things are getting back to normal around here as much as possible after the wedding and a great summer. School started 2 weeks ago from today. Since it is Labor Day we have it off today. I am still active in my church and am getting back into the photographer seat in trying to get pics taken that are LONG overdue. Other same and new things going on are: choir, SS, great services, and now I am teaching Nursery on Wednesday nights, doing Sunday morning nursery almost once a month, and teaching teamkid on Sunday nights about every 3 months or so, and helping teach childrens church. As you can see a lot. We are also starting a kids choir and chimes group which Tori and I are in. We started that all on Thursdays and will continue practices on those nights. School is going well and challenging again so far but I am enjoying it. So far some things done are working on my new business card, wide format poster, paper, learning how to do a newsletter, preping images and much more! Well friends more to come later.

Hey friends, well, we made it safely to Illinois and back and thank the Lord for that and all the prayers that were made during that week and before! We didn't have any problems with the UHaul except one sway or two and Will did and awesome job driving it with his co-captain in the front seat giving directions as we went. Ryan Rosewell, a good friend and graduate buddy of Will's went along to help with the move and to see his brother who lives in the Chicago area. We had a wonderful time seeing the sites of the big city and of Wheaton where Will and Meghan will be living for the next several years. Wheaton College is beautiful and a nice town too. They are getting settled in and we helped get the kitchen settled on Saturday before flying back to Kinston Sunday morning. We took the same route home that we drove more than 14 hours there in. God was amazing to us as we journeyed on our way and I can not say that enough, it couldn't have gone better. Now we are getting back to our daily activities and are enjoying the rest of our summer before school starts back on August 18th for me at LCC. I am still pursuing a major in Graphic Arts there and am looking forward to continuing on until I have succussfully finished all my requirements! Well friends, I believe that is well enough for now. Well friends, things are going great at the Haynes' homested. Will and Meghan have been here for about a week now and will be here for another week and couple of days I think. Will is heading back up to Lynchburg around a week from now to start packing up the trailer. Meghan, mom, tori, and I are heading up the next day or so and then we along with a good friend of theirs, are all driving up to Wheaton, IL! We will be gone for around 5 days and will be back on Sunday July, 27th. We had a wonderful reception here at the house for them on Sunday and it went really well. Saw a ton of old friends as well as new ones. Meghan loved meeting everyone and Will enjoyed seeing people that he hasn't seen in years. They are heading to the OBX this weekend for alittle get a way and I know they are going to have a wonderful time! Concert time for me and Catherine this weekend as we head to Greensboro to see some good ol'e Southern Gospel music and then staying at my aunts house that night, fun, fun, fun! well they did it! Meghan and Will tied the knot at around 2:45pm on Sunday, June 29, 2008! The wedding rehearsal, dinner, ceremony, and reception was ALL simply beautiful, as were the bride and groom! Everything turned out so much more amazing than I ever imagined it to be! They are both very happy with tears to go around. Will even made ME cry even though I already was. Now they are on their honeymoon on the beautiful island of Jamaica and I'm sure having a blast after a very busy week and weekend last week! It was great meeting the Hayes family and they were ALL very nice and I personally can't wait to see them all again. Hey it's me, and no I have NOT fallen off the planet, just a lot happening and byt the next sentence you will know why.Well, my summer has been great except for one thing, I don't have my computer! Mom sent it off after I went TO Alaska and let's just put it this way, with a lot of pain and frustration, I still don't have it back. But, great summer nontheless! A week from this Sunday is Will and Meghan's wedding and I am SO happy! June 29th is going to be such an awesome day this summer, along with August 12th which is MY 20th Birthday!!! I have some awesome plans but I hope they all work out! Then right after school starts dad is taking me to a NASCAR race in Bristol and we will be staying in Boone, yay! Will and Meghan and spending two weeks with us in July after the honeymoon in Jamacia and that will be so AWESOME plus the reception we are having for them here on the 13th! Mom, Tori and I are all driving up to Illinois with them and then flying back a few days later to help with the move. Then birthday time before school starts about a week later! A lot happening and I am doing a lot with church like Mission Friends for example on Wednesday nights. I am realizing a lot, like something my brother's fiancee said the other day to, "good luck on finishing your 1st year of college." WOW, today it suddenly hit me, I am doing it! I am finishing up my 1st year of college which has gone by WAY to fast for me but I LOVE IT! Plus, Will and Meghan are getting married June 29th, WOW, amazing, my bro is getting married and we are ALL growing up. Before I know it Josh will be getting married too! Then, it will be MY turn to graduate from college, what a day that will be! I feel like God has me right where HE wants ME! I feel confident in Him everyday in what I should do and where I should go. I feel like He has me in the right church which I am activly involved in, and in every aspect of MY life, He has covered so long as I keep MY eyes on HIM for everyday answers, which is exactly the kind of attitude I intend to have from now until He comes back or calls me home one! Well folks, that is all for now, as of Wednesday May 7th, 2008, I will officially be done and finished with my 1st year of college.

Well friends, Spring Break is going great so far. We had an awesome time at the Shimers on Sunday night watching the UNC game and I must say, wasn't it just AWESOME??? GO HEELS! My head hasn't been coroperating but it is better now, and I have a busy day planned for tomorrow to catch up on stuff and pick up a friend of tori's and mine, get my car washed for our trip to Boone, go to church, then come home after the busy day and relax before Thursdays trip to Greensboro. I am very excited because on Friday, Kevin Bryan and I are meeting for the firs time! I wish I was already with him for his 21st b-day, but I am so glad that we are even going up this weekend at all! God has been amazing at how He has brought us together. I feel that all will go as it should for this weekend. This has been a great week to catch my breath from school and think too, and relieve some of the stress I have been feeling lately. Spring Break!

Hey friends,
well, as of 9:50a.m. this Friday or March 21st, I will officially be on Spring Break! It is turning out to be a better Spring Break than I thought it was going to be a week ago! I found out a few nights ago that as per my request, we will be going to Boone next weekend so I can meet a very special guy that came into my life close to a month ago, Kevin. He and I met and have talked online ever since and on the phone but have yet to meet in person. Some of you may have heard about him already but you will hear about him more. I am very excited about next week and am happy to see what God is doing in my life these days! How great is our God, amen? He is so amazing and I just lift up all my praise to him for all He has done and is doing in my life. Well friends, got to go to the sketching pad to brainstorm some ideas for tomorrow's class. We are making postcards and since I got some great pics last time I was in the mountains I want to use one of them. More to come soon.

Well, things are so hectic around here lately with ALL I have going on in my life. Will and Meghan are still going great and the wedding is in June. For those of you who haven't heard yet, they ARE official and so you can say his fiance now! School is been hard for me in some classes the last few weeks but has picked up and I am so happy for that. My priorities are in line and God is really blessing me these days beyond what I could ever imagine. A little update from the Haynes family: Josh and his girlfriend Kim and still going strong and Kim is a real God send for Josh. They are very happy and we all love her. Will and Meghan are planning their wedding which will take place on June 29th and we are ALL very very excited. Mom and Dad are still doing their Sunday night house church and are loving it! Tori now goes to church with me and on the last Sunday of Feburary, she got baptized and is now a member of Neuse Baptist Church. She and I like to stay active in the church as we sing in the choir and have a Cantata this Sunday, Palm Sunday, and PLEASE come, it is at 11:00 and again at 7:00 at Neuse Baptist Church, you will be blessed! well, I finally think I have my computer straightened out, so for those of you who have been waiting with baited breath for new pics from my new baby, my Canon 30D, then you are in for a treat. All is going good with the new device for the computer, so I will have new pics for you Friday at the latest. I have a lot of homework it seems these days with college treking right along which is awesome. Things are going great here, I am looking forward to trying to get into doing a photo a day on this neat website that one of my dads friends got me into. Now, I have the want to talk to you all, my ipod is working, and thats what is important for the computer, and I will have new software for school soon, which includes Photoshop CS3, since my CS2 is BAD. I love that song! Well, School started today, and we had a good first day of class. We only had Ensligh today and it went well I might add. It all goes downhill from here, I got all the books, and now all my classes start. But the good news is that if I work hard, then I will be done by May, then can do some summer classes possibly to catch up. WOW! What a GREAT new year!

Tori and I had a great new year eves at my church playing games with my Pastor and many others as a few select of us gathered for the watchnight service of games, food, and fun. Let me say, the food was awesome, the games were fun, and the company was inspiring! It was amazing starting the new year on my knees thanking God for the past year and all he Has done for me. I mean, I have joined my first church, gradutated from high school, started college and succesfully completed my first semested of it, and I had my first relationship with a great man. I think all in all it was a pretty great year, it had it's trials and errors like always, God still has chosen not to take my headaches away, but I feel the end is coming with that someday soon, and I urge you to be in prayer with me about that.

MY New Years Resolution? For the Year 2008 to be an even BETTER year than 2007, and for my focus on Christ to grow stronger as I continue on with my education, and possibly move on with my dating life as well. Who knows, only God does, and with God, nothings impossible. *I want to thank all those who have been in prayer for Scott Whitley who has been in Iraq for the last year, but PLEASE, do NOT stop praying yet, because he still has alittle over a month and still needs our prayers until he walks off the steps of that plane and is in the loving arms of his family once again. Hey everyone,
sorry I have seem like I have been dropped off the planet but no I haven't, just been REAL busy. Exams are officially over and so is school until January 4th, Thank Goodness. It's so nice to have a break and I have passed all my classes thanks be to God for helping me through my first semester with Mr. Butts. We have been working on our Christmas Cantata at Church that the choir sings that we are doing this Sunday at 11a.m. then again at 7p.m. so please come out. We went to Britthaven Sunday to do it there for them and then I went out to my classmate Peneolpe's house to download software. I ended up having to leave my computer out there so her son could battle it out with the software guy whom he got mad at over the phone the previous day while I was there. So, we have one more to do and then we are done and hopfully that will be it. here's a pic of my first nice invention on my first download of software which is photoshop.

I intend to enjoy my break and this weekend I am going to enjoy Cable at my aunt's house when I go up there to babysit for my cousins while they do stuff for work this weekend and earn so good money in the process. The Camera fund is coming along nicely and I am looking forward to AK especially after Mrs. Debbie told me last weekend the sites we are or might be going to see and I am already falling in love with them. Tonight is the business meeting at church and my ministry is getting approved into the church, and by the way, we will be. It's a great ministry and one I am proud to be a part of. You don't have to guess what I am doing in it and am loving it. I am also in the choir at church as you know and am still loving it and as I said we are getting ready to do our first big production, "I Love to Tell The Story." Well, I finally found the perfect deal for me with an SLR camera, and it couldn't be more perfect. It's a great price, exactly what I want, and what more could I want???? I already have 2 tripods, and they are perfect, have a good camera, and it's perfect, and am now fulfilling my dream, to get an Canon SLR camera. SOOOOOOO......for those of you out there who probably are getting me a Christmas gift, wellll, give me money, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! I need money to contribute to my camera fund so I can have it before I go to Alaska in May of next year to watch my best friend Catherine graduate from High School! Well another weekends here again and boy am I glad! It's going to be busy like last week but great none the less and hopfully I can get a ton done like I did last weekend too. I've got finals coming up soon too so I need to start preparing for that as well. Tonight I've got to look over my paper that's due tomorrow and make sure it's good to go. Tomorrow's a new day and one I aim to please Jesus with and do what He tells me to do with my time and energy. I feel that He was pleased with how I spent my weekend last weekend. well, the weekends over and time for a new week and school. Today was a great day, got a lot done, but now I am exhausted. Plus, I've been on new meds for the last week for my headaches. Things are going better but I'm having side affects from it which isn't that good. The weekend was absolutly wonderful since I got done everything I had planned plus much more! I kept thinking up things, and looking to God and He told me what He wanted of me for this weekend and I pulled through. Now if this week can continue that would be wonderful. well schools treaking along as per usual. I'm about ready to get away from Mr. Butts, but this week we haven't had to listen to him lecture for an hour. Insted, he either sat at his desk in the room grading papers, or sat in his office grading or reading stuff. So this week was nice. The extra credit 10 points is a tuffy, so if any of you know the answer to this question, shout it out PLEASE!!!! What do the 1956 Yankees, Disney World, and the Monkees all have in common??? Thanks, and things are going great with the choir at church! We're practicing for our Christmas Cantata, and it is sooo beautiful! We did our first sing away from church since I've joined this past Monday night at the First Baptist Church of Deep Run, NC. Then this coming Monday we sing again at New Hope Baptist Church, Kinston, NC. The song we did this week was so beautiful and great praise to our Father above. I still can't wait til December 13th when we get outta school for this semester! Be in prayer for my friend Paige, she's really having a hard time right now with her husband being gone for close to a year and they keep changing to date for him to come home =( So please pray for her as she takes care of her 4 boys, Noah(9), Sam(5),Max(4), and Jack(2) almost 3. Thanks, love you all. My headaches are pretty bad right now too, so please, pray for me that they can get better soon so I can do a good job in school without them disrupting my life in homework! well, things are going great for me! Had a nice relaxing break and had some time to work as well and earn some money too. We had a good service today at church and Sunday school. It was more on tithing and God's purpose for your life was the theme. I enjoyed it a lot and got a lot out of it. I joined the choir 2 weeks ago too. So today was my first Sunday since I was i was gone last week. I really enjoyed it and am glad that I could be there today since we did a nice mededly I LOVE and wanted to do with the choir. Two of our members who our in the choir as well weren't there so there was a bit of confusion about who went where. But we got it sorted out and hopfully they will be there in 2 weeks for when I am there again since next week we'll be outta town for my cousins wedding.

Oh, and I'm not looking forward to tomorrow, well I kinda am and kinda not. My break officially ends at 9am tomorrow morning. But the good part is, that the semester is half over so I get out of school around the 13th of December and I'm really lokking forward to that!!! Pray for me that I do good the rest of the semester! Thanks friends, and on another note, I found a ad for MPIX in my photo magagzine I get monthy, and they, MPIX, does many different things, but I did a book, with a lot of my best photos that I could get in there! I did well on my first one, but wished and hoped I did better than I did but I'll take it! Well, here's an update on what's happening in my life. I've been busy busy busy with school, and this past week had revivals at my church s-w nights. We had an awesome family share with us this week, they are a missionary family who are based in Celeya, Mexico and possibly somewhere else when they go back to the field. things are going well in classes. I'm getting the hang of studing and preparing for my classes better now. I'm praying for my English Teacher's salvation and I feel better now than I did a week ago about this situation I have with him. FYI for those who don't know, Mr. Butts challenged me last week when I said something that God commands of us in His word and Mr. Butts wrote all these untrue accuzations on the board. Please pray for me in the rest of this semester that I can make an impact and plant seeds for not only him but for others in my class! Thanks, and continue to pray for me as I go through college, and that I can be an example to others of Christ and what God would have me to do while I'm out there at LCC. Love you all.

hey friends, well my life keeps on rolling down the day with homework everyday and English tests every Friday lol. So all in all, I keep busy, and am really enjoying my graphic arts classes and having a ton of fun in them all! We haven't had our classes with Mr. Downie our lead instructor because he's been called to be with his mom, who's in the hospital and the way I heard it, she had a stoke along with some other problems. I don't know the whole story but please pray for Mr. Downie, and for his mom, that she's a believer and if she does indeed die now, that she'll go to meet Jesus in Heaven. Loving life, glad to be where I am, it's hard work but I'm trying hard to succeed at it, and hopfully come out on top. Still haven't gotten any pics out there yet cause it's not convenent yet to take my camera, although I have one on my phone now! I also have been given my 1st photography job! I've been asked by my church to take photo's of all the new members or those who didn't get their pic taken when last years directory was made. It's alot to take on but a task I know I can succeed at and am so excited that they choose me of all people to do it! Pray for that as well, and for me as I embarq on this wonderful journey through school. Before I know it, I'll be graduating and be done with it all and be ready to start look for a job! I love you all.

hey, I'm sorry I haven't written in awhile, I've been busy, and you'll see why in this posting. I started college a week ago Wedesday. Everything is going great! I had an English test and I did really well cause I knew how I did by what was on the test! So, that's great and English is going well, cept I have a teacher who cusses like crazy. Graphic Arts Imagine and Technology is what I'm magjoring in. It's going really well too. I have classes for that Monday thru Thursday, and I love it that way. English is Monday thru Friday. I already have assingments and such for my Graphic arts classes as far as creating and working a process to get it done, and that's alot for those of you who don't know how to do it lol. So, please be in prayer for me as I journey on my college adventure because that's truely what this is and feels like to me! I've made alot of new friends and like hanging out with them. Alot of hard work and determination, and I know I can excel and do anything I put my mind to with the help of God. I love you all and more to come later when I get the chance to be able to write it hehe. I like I said have been busy busy. My classes roam from 9am-4pm, m-th. well, as of 13:13, I am officially 19 years old, LOL!!! I'm so excited, but don't really feel it's real yet, kinda but not totally! It's funny how some people feel older, and others like me, it takes time to get used to it hehe. We have of course, knowing me, taken pics so I'll have some up soon of the big day, and the only bad part about today was lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, when we were there for 2 hours eating! The waiter was horrible, and I got frustrated first that Applebees had such a low Sanitary rating, so we didn't want to eat there, and I was irritated about that, then Ruby Tuesdays was bad too. I saw this girl, Kenzie I used to babysit for 2 days a week, and she's so cute still just older, and she now has a brother, Josh, who's 3 weeks old! My newest 2nd cousin, Garrison is exactly a month old today, which I love! Well, that's all folks, catch me next time on Hillacarynes blog!

well, I'm finally home from Seven Devils! I had an awesome time with my cousins Abbie and Sara Kent, and as always had fun with tori, mom, aunt Claudia and Deanne! I'm putting up pics soon as I figure out which ones outta bout maybe 2-500 are the best lol. I deleted alot but all in all took around 700 pics in all this trip lol. I always had my camera with me and the girls loved to take pics with it too, and Abbie who's 7 was amazing with it, and it's a nice camera! Sara Kent who's 5 took some good ones but most of hers were blury or kinda bad hehe. Anyways, home again for a while especially with school coming up. I'm real excited about that and everything else I have going on for this week! Talk to you all later on and I'll have some awesome mountain pics up for ya soon!

Hey, I'm Hillary Haynes, and I now have a blog with blogspot! My friend Paige has one and I found out one of my cousins has one too and I have also wanted one for awhile too! I'm 18 almost 19 in 2 weeks from yesterday and I'm a fun outgoing Christian who loves to serve her Lord and Savior Jesus and I like to babysit for a job, hang out with my friends, my family, and best of all my boyfriend for alittle over a month Brandon and do kewl and awesome things with him like riding his 4 wheeler and mudding! I'm excited about having my own blog here now and will always have new info and pics to share cause I like to keep up with my friends and family and share a ton of pics with them or you lol.
